Thank you Roland,
I am one of those Anglophone comrades and I read enough to know it is very
interesting, but that's all. I hope to hear or read more of it in English.
And to whom it may concern,
I have a problem with my participation on sunday and the point entitled
"Social struggles and Trade Unions in Palestine", which I should comment on.
I cannot do so as I streched before to Bertil and Leon:
I was asked by Peter Drucker to do a lecture about the solidarity activities
of unions (I am participating in such an initiative here in teh
Netherlands), but that is something completely different as the above
mentioned topic about "social struggles and unions in Palestine". As I
informed Bertil before I can tell something about union solidarity with the
Palestinians (with examples all over the world) and put in some of may own
experience. But I cannot tell anything substantial about social struggle and
unions WITHIN Palestine. I know only a few people -and not that long- whom I
work with myself in Ramallah, Nablus and Jenin, far too little to give a
proper overview of what is taking place in Palestine on this subject.
So I hope people don't expect this overview and maybe there is a way to
change the subjects title in 'unions solidarity work' or something. Maybe my
place in the program has to change too.
If we want to stick with the program and title as it is stated now, we have
to find someone else to lecture on this.
See you all in a couple of days,
yours comradly,
Lot van Baaren
